International Criminal Court Nagmamakaawa sa Pilipinas na huwag e Withdraw ang Ugnayan “Please Don’t Quit!”

Ayon sa mensaheng natanggap ng Inquirer mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC), itinuturing daw ng ICC na “important State Party” at “integral part” ang Pilipinas sa international criminal justice system.

“The Court encourages the Philippines to not follow through with the reported intention to withdraw, as it is an important State Party to the Rome Statute, and as such an integral part of the international criminal justice system aimed at ending impunity for and helping prevent the gravest crimes under international law,” sabi ng ICC.

Kamakailan lang ay binutata ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang hakbang ng ilang oposisyon na mapababa siya sa puwesto sa pamamagitan ng ICC. Napurnada ng husto ang mga plano ng mga kalaban nang kumalas ang Pilipinas sa ICC. Ayon sa Pangulo, may pinapanigan ang nasabing hukuman.
