Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque recently called female critics of the President Rodrigo Duterte as “expiring women”.
Included on who he attacked is Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Leila de Lima, United Nations Special Rapporteur Agnes Calamard, Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, and Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.
He adds former Department of Social Worker and Development (DSWD) Judy Tiguiwalo to the list as well.
Roque says that these are the president’s harshest critics and that in their eyes the president has not done anything good for the country, which he refuted.
Roque says that Vice President Leni Robredo on the other hand has been inconsistent and he hinted that Robredo only liked Duterte when it was convenient for her.
“Ang pula ko kay Leni Robredo kasi in the first place, kung talagang killer ang Presidente, kung talagang hindi naniniwala sa rule of law, dapat hindi kayo tumanggap ng kahit anong puwesto lalong-lalo na Gabinete dahil as Cabinet members, you’re alter egos; extension kayo ng Pangulo. Kung gaano kabulok ang sinasabi ninyo ang Pangulo, ganoon din kayo kabulok dahil naging bahagi kayo ng Gabinete,” he said.
