A Catholic Priest Was Arrested for Planning to Sexually Abuse a 13-Year-Old Girl!

In Marikina City, a priest was arrested by the authorities after it was discovered that he had plans to s*xually abuse a female minor. The 55-year-old priest, identified as Messenger Arnel Fuentes Lagarejos, was apprehended by authorities following an entrapment operation jointly handled by the police and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Lagarejos was spotted by the authorities entering a motel. They suspected he went there to engage in a tryst with the aforementioned female minor.

According the Eastern Police District, Lagarejos met the minor, a 13-year-old girl, through a homosexual “bugaw” – the colloquial term for a pimp – on social media. The bugaw is reportedly underage as well.

Police reports detailed that the priest arranged to meet the bugaw and the 13-year-old girl at the Blue Wave Mall along Sumulong Highway, Barangay Sto. Niño, Marikina City. Apparently, the teenage girl’s mother tipped off the authorities, which prompted the entrapment operation.

The priest was spotted riding inside a green Ford Explorer with the plate number TGO 350. As he made his way into the motel, the authorities sprung the trap and took him into custody. The priest also reportedly tried to pull a gun on the cops, however, he was quickly subdued.

According to the authorities, the target of their operation was actually the bugaw syndicate who organized the pimping out of minors through social media. They were surprised to find a priest as a patron of this type of social media prostitution.

Lagarejos was a former president of a Catholic school and is known being against the Reproductive Health Bill. He is being charged with cases related to child abuse and human trafficking. 

The teenage girl and the underage bugaw are currently under the custody of the DSWD. The teenage girl’s mother declined to comment on the situation.
