Kumpirmado! Panibagong Ebedensiya na magpapatalsik kay Sereno Ibinulgar ng Committee on Justice ang dalawang undeclared properties!
In connection to the ongoing investigation of the House Committee on justice regarding the impeachment complaint filed against Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, Partylist Representative Alfredo Garbin revealed one of the findings of the committee which implies that Sereno has two undeclared properties.
In a radio interview with RMN News, Gabin claimed that Sereno has two properties in Bataan and Davao and both were unstated in her filed Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Networth (SALN) which stands a ground for “culpable violation of the Constitution”. That is, Sereno who is the highest magistrate in the Supreme Court and the topmost official of the judiciary department, has allowed irregularities in her SALN declarations.
According to the Ako Bicol Partylist Representative, the exposure of such significant information should be dealt with accordingly claiming that the Congress does not want to repeat the “unfair” impeachment of the late former Chief Justice Renato Corona.
Minority Leader Danilo Suarez also expressed his sentiment on the issue claiming that former President Benigno Aquino III perhaps had issued a marching order that probably paved a way for the successful nomination and instigation of Sereno as chief magistrate in the highest Philippine court.
