Pastor ng Jehovah’s Witness, Patay nang Pagbabarilin ng mga NPA! “Mistaken Identity”

Namatay sa pananambang ang isang pastor ng Jehovah’s Witness nang tambangan ito at paulanan ng bala ng mga New People’s Army (NPA) sa GIGAQUIT, Surigao del Norte. 

Kinilala ang biktima na si Pastor Jepti Acido. Sugatan naman sa ambush ang dalawang misyonaryong kasama ni Acido na sina Virgil Ortiz at Adner Malaque.

Ayon kay Capt. Francisco Garello ng Philiipine Army 36th Infantry Battalion, nakasakay ang mga biktima ng motorsiklo nang bigla silang tambangan ng NPA.

Advertisement Sa isang pahayag, inako ng NPA ang pag-ambush at sinabing resulta raw ito ng mistaken identity.

Kinundina naman ni Commander Brigadier General Franco Nemesio Gacal ng 402nd Infantry brigade ang kalapastanganan ng NPA at nangakong bibigyan ng hustisya ang mga nabiktima ng NPA.

“In coordination with the PNP (Philippine National Police), we will hunt them down to bring justice to the victims and their families,” sabi ni Gacal.
