Trillanes pinagalitan at nagmukhang bata kay Koko Pimentel, “Hindi ka abogado Trillanes at sayang lang ang oras kung papatulan ka”

Nagpatutsadahan sina Senate President Koko Pimentel at Senador Antonio Trillanes matapos nilang magtalo ukol sa pagkalas ng Pilipinas mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC).

Sinabi ni Trillanes na akala lang ni Pimentel na puwede pa siyang kumandidatong muli sa pagka-senador sa Mayo 2016.

Minaliit naman ni Pimentel si Trillanes na nagmamarunong umano gayung hindi naman abogado.


Una rito, sinabi ni Trillanes na walang bisa ang pagpapakalas ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Pilipinas mula sa ICC dahil kailangan pa itong paaprubahan sa Senado.

Mariin itong kinontra ni Pimentel na nagbigay-diin na wala sa Konstitusyon ang sinasabi ni Trillanes.


Iginiit ni Trillanes na “implied” o natural nang dapat ay aprub ng Senado ang pagkalas sa ICC dahil nakasaad sa Konstitusyon na kailangang aprub din nila ang pagratipika ng Malacañang sa tratado gaya ng Rome Statute na lumikha sa ICC.

Advertisement Sinabi ni Trillanes sa kaniyang Twitter account na katulad lang ito ng “by implication” na pag-aakala ni Pimentel na puwede pa itong kumandidato ulit kahit nakadalawang termino na sa Senado.

“In the same way that Koko assumes,’by implication’, that he is allowed to run for another term contrary to the 2 term limit explicitly stated in the Constitution,” ayon kay Trillanes.

Sinopla ito ni Pimentel na nagbigay-diin na hindi abogado si Trillanes at sayang ang oras na ito ay patulan.

“Ahem, Sen. Trillanes is not a lawyer so his baseless opinion doesn’t justify a response,” sabi ni Pimentel sa text message sa Senate media.
