Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba marked his word in a press briefing in Cagayan, saying that former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas won’t get any votes from him in the Philippine Senate Election in 2019 as revenge to Korina Sanchez, wife of Roxas for alleged treacherous act.

The Cagayan politiko said Roxas betrayed him during the 2016 elections.

“Saka alam niyo yung nangyari sa akin noong election, kung paano ako tinraydor. Ako, you treat me the way I should treat you. Kung hindi ako mag-traydor sa yo, wag mo akong traydorin (And you know what happened to me last election, on how you went back on me. My philosophy, ‘you treat me the way I should treat you’. Don’t betray me if I did’t betray you)” he said.

Aside from Korina, Mamba mentioned another LP stalwart, Quezon City Rep. Kit Belmonte, whom he claimed had talks with his two opponents and had a sly move in 2016 election polls.

Advertisement According to Mamba, who joined the PDP-Laban (Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan) and left the Liberal Party, Roxas told him his plan to run for the upcoming senatorial election.

“Kaya nga nagpasabi si Mar sa akin na tatakbo raw siyang senador.”

“Sabihin niyo sa kanya ah, zero siya sa Tuao… (Tell him, he’ll get zero votes  in Tuao…)Just to tell him never to treat people who are good and loyal to you the way you treat[ed] me in the last election,” Mamba said.
